Anna was looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. So she's less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris—until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all . . . including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss? Stephanie Perkins keeps the romantic tension crackling and the attraction high in a debut guaranteed to make toes tingle and hearts melt. (source: Goodreads)

Halo, Kakak Ilman and Adik Zaidan...

Bunda have read some interesting reviews about this book on Goodreads. Some people gave this book 4-5 stars. Those scores made Bunda wanted to read it. So, Bunda choose it, after got the e-book.

When Bunda read it, Bunda found nothing special about the story. Just an ordinary girl from Atlanta, Anna Olliphant, who new at boarding school in Paris, met a new good looking friend who is a boy and already has a girlfriend, Etienne St. Clair. St. Clair - though he seems perfect here, he has his own weakness. Bunda even can guess the ending of this story.

So, what made me put this book into re-read shelf?

The characters seem real. They seem alive. We can find Anna, Etienne, Meredith, Rashmi, and Josh in our daily life. The natural characters made this book feels so real. They have their casual problem like we do. Bunda love how the author created the conflicts. They are real and just not too much. Bunda love the compositions that make this book is interesting. Well done.

In this book, St. Clair is so annoying and successfully hit Bunda's nerve, so Bunda wanted to hit him. Haha.

About the conflict between the girl and the boy, feel like reflecting my own problem in the past. It was about how hard to confess our own feeling. Or how hard to understand others' feeling, though he's sent you the signal more than once. Well, it's a common problem for girls, I think. Sometimes they could not read the signal which sent by the boys. They need it to be verbalized. And Stephanie Perkins has made it here.

Now Bunda understand why people love this book. Because, I fell in love in this book and could not put down it.

Bunda love the cover. It's simple and eye-catching with the Eiffel tower as the background. And Bunda love Paris as the setting, it just made the story becomes perfect. And thanks to the cover designers not to put St. Clair's face, coz Bunda have own imagination about him :D

xoxo,
Bunda
